Welcome to PYReco
PYReco takes its name from the word pyrolysis, a process used since ancient times to convert complex materials into substances that are either desirable or less harmful.
Pyrolysis is widely used today for many applications, including waste treatment and mineral extraction.
A Territory Licence Agreement for the supply of the patented technology is in place. PYReco are working closely with Metso Minerals to ensure that their core technology is suitable for European Environmental Controls. Additionally and most importantly, close attention has been paid to optimise the quality of the products manufactured by the process.
The large scale pyrolysis technology to be utilised initially at Middlesbrough will process shredded tyres without waste or harmful emissions. In addition, it will recover all materials namely high grade carbon black, oil (similar to number 2 grade), steel and non-condensable gases for industry or power generation.
Pyrolysis represents the most realistic method to recycle diminishing strategic resources and provide environmental compliance.
The pyrolysis of end of life tyres has long been identified as the best solution.
PYReco is making this a reality.
